Schools, colleges and testing organizations establish their own requirements and independently determine eligibility, services and accommodations. A private evaluation can provide useful documentation.
Each evaluation is individualized, but our comprehensive battery examines the major areas that may affect a child’s learning, development and school performance.
For school-age children when developmentally appropriate, the evaluation includes:
• WISC-V cognitive testing or an appropriate age-based alternative
• Comprehensive academic achievement testing
• D-KEFS executive-function testing
• CPT-3 or an age-appropriate continuous-performance measure
• Executive-function rating scales such as the BRIEF-2 or CEFI
• Behavioral and emotional rating scales such as the BASC-3
• Cognitive-processing and memory measures
• Parent and teacher input
• Review of relevant developmental, educational and clinical records
• Additional condition-specific measures when indicated
• Feedback consultation
• Comprehensive written psychological report
Depending on the referral questions, testing may assess:

The precise battery is selected according to the child’s age, history, needs and documentation requirements. Younger children receive developmentally appropriate alternatives to measures designed for older students.
The $3,500 fee includes the clinical and developmental interview, review of relevant records, individualized comprehensive testing, scoring and diagnostic integration, feedback consultation, individualized recommendations and comprehensive written psychological report.
When autism is one of the referral questions, the ADOS-2 may be added to the comprehensive evaluation for an additional $500 when clinically appropriate. The addition includes administration of the developmentally appropriate ADOS-2 module, scoring when standardized administration requirements are met and integration of the findings into the comprehensive report.
We begin by discussing your concerns, goals, and referral questions. We also review relevant developmental, educational, medical, and evaluation records.
Testing is selected according to your child’s age, needs, and referral questions. Sessions may be completed over one or more appointments.
Families receive a feedback session and a detailed written report that explains the findings, identifies strengths and areas of need, provides diagnostic clarification when appropriate, and outlines practical recommendations.
Schools, agencies, and testing organizations make their own eligibility and accommodation decisions.

Yes. Comprehensive evaluations may be completed virtually, in person or through a combination of both formats. The appropriate format depends on the child’s age, selected assessment measures, referral questions, location and documentation requirements. Interviews, questionnaires and record review can generally be completed remotely. Direct testing may also be available virtually when the selected measures and circumstances support valid remote administration

Our reports may support requests for school, college, and standardized-testing accommodations. Each organization independently reviews documentation and makes its own determination.
