Gifted and IQ Testing: $800

This focused evaluation assesses cognitive or intellectual abilities and is commonly requested for gifted-program consideration, private-school planning or a better understanding of a child’s cognitive strengths.

It generally includes:

• Parent consultation and developmental history
• Age-appropriate cognitive or IQ testing
• Behavioral observations
• Review of relevant records when available
• Explanation of the results
• Written psychological report

Focused gifted testing does not include a comprehensive assessment of ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, academic achievement, memory or executive functioning. A broader evaluation may be recommended when those concerns are present.

Learn About Gifted & IQ Testing

ADOS-2 Assessment: $800

This focused service is available when a pediatrician, psychiatrist, psychologist, physician or other qualified healthcare professional has specifically requested an ADOS-2.

It generally includes:

• Administration of the developmentally appropriate ADOS-2 module
• Standardized scoring when standardized administration requirements are met
• Behavioral observations from the assessment
• A summary of findings provided to the requesting professional

The ADOS-2 is one source of clinical information. It cannot independently diagnose or rule out autism.

Results from a standalone ADOS-2 must be provided to the qualified professional who requested the assessment. That provider is responsible for integrating the results with developmental history, current functioning and other clinical information.

The standalone service does not include an independent autism diagnosis, comprehensive diagnostic report or Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation from Bright Future Psychology.

ADOS-2 and Child Autism Evaluations

Diagnostic Evaluation: $1,700

A focused diagnostic evaluation addresses a specific referral question using a targeted assessment battery.

Depending on the client’s age, concerns and documentation needs, a focused evaluation may assess:

• ADHD
• Dyslexia
• Dysgraphia
• Dyscalculia
• Another specific learning disorder
• Cognitive or intellectual functioning
• Executive-functioning difficulties
• Other focused psychological or developmental concerns
• Testing-accommodation needs when the receiving organization accepts targeted documentation

The evaluation generally includes:

• Clinical or developmental interview
• Review of relevant records
• Targeted standardized testing
• Condition-specific rating scales when appropriate
• Diagnostic conclusions when supported
• Individualized recommendations
• Feedback consultation
• Written psychological report

Direct testing generally takes approximately 1–2 hours, although the total time varies according to the referral questions and required measures.

Some schools, universities and testing organizations require a broader evaluation. Clients seeking documentation for a specific organization should obtain its current requirements before scheduling.

Autism Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation: $1,700

This option provides a Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation, commonly called a CDE, focused on determining whether the clinical findings support an autism diagnosis and identifying the individual’s developmental and support needs.

Depending on age and referral questions, the CDE generally includes:

• Comprehensive developmental and clinical history
• Parent, caregiver or client interview
• Review of relevant medical, educational and treatment records
• Autism-specific diagnostic measures
• Direct clinical observation
• Adaptive, developmental or functional assessment when appropriate
• Assessment of masking and social compensation when relevant
• Diagnostic integration
• Autism diagnosis when supported
• Individualized recommendations
• Feedback consultation
• Comprehensive written diagnostic report

For children, a CDE may provide documentation relevant to ABA, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and other autism-related services. Insurers, Medicaid plans and treatment programs independently determine medical necessity, authorization and coverage.

Child & Teen Autism CDEAdult Diagnostic Autism Evaluations

Comprehensive Psychological or Psychoeducational Evaluation:

A comprehensive evaluation is appropriate when the referral questions involve multiple areas of functioning, more than one possible diagnosis or extensive educational or testing documentation.

Depending on the client’s age and needs, the evaluation includes:

• Comprehensive clinical and developmental interview
• Review of relevant educational, medical and psychological records
• WISC-V or WAIS-5 cognitive testing, or an appropriate age-based alternative
• Comprehensive academic achievement testing
• D-KEFS executive-function testing when developmentally appropriate
• CPT-3 or an age-appropriate attention measure
• Executive-function rating scales
• Behavioral and emotional rating scales when clinically relevant
• Cognitive-processing and memory measures
• Additional condition-specific testing when indicated
• Diagnostic integration
• Individualized recommendations
• Feedback consultation
• Comprehensive written psychological report

Comprehensive evaluations may assess ADHD, dyslexia and other learning disabilities, attention, executive functioning, academic achievement, memory, cognitive processing, emotional functioning and twice-exceptional profiles.

Virtual and in-person options are available depending on the selected measures, client location and documentation requirements.

Adding the ADOS-2 to a Comprehensive Evaluation — Additional $500

When autism is one of the referral questions, the ADOS-2 may be added to the comprehensive evaluation for an additional $500. The ADOS-2 addition includes administration of the developmentally appropriate module, scoring when standardized administration requirements are met and integration of the findings into the comprehensive evaluation report.
