Psychoeducational Evaluations for Learning Disabilities

Psychoeducational evaluations examine how cognitive abilities and academic skills interact to impact learning.

These evaluations may:

  • Assess reading, writing, math, and academic achievement
  • Examine cognitive processing and learning patterns
  • Help clarify dyslexia and other learning disabilities

Psychoeducational evaluations are commonly used to support instructional planning, school services, and educational accommodations (IEPs and 504 plans).

ADHD Evaluations for Children, Teens, and Adults

ADHD evaluations focus on understanding attention, executive functioning, and self-regulation across settings.

These evaluations may include:

  • Assessment of attention, impulsivity, and executive functioning
  • Review of developmental history and current concerns
  • Integration of rating scales and standardized measures

Findings are used to support accurate understanding and practical planning for school, college, work, and daily life.

Dyslexia and Learning Disorder Evaluations

Dyslexia and learning disorder evaluations are designed to clarify specific learning differences that impact academic progress, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.

These evaluations may:

  • Assess reading, written language, math, and related skills
  • Identify patterns consistent with specific learning disorders
  • Highlight strengths that can be used to support learning

Results guide appropriate supports, accommodations, and educational planning.

Autism Evaluations for Children, Adolescents, and Adults

Autism evaluations are designed to understand social communication, flexibility, sensory processing, and behavioral patterns within a whole-person framework.

Our approach:

  • Uses a comprehensive, individualized evaluation process
  • Emphasizes strengths as well as areas of challenge
  • Supports clarity, self-understanding, and meaningful planning

Evaluations are tailored to the individual’s age, history, and referral questions.

ADOS-2 Autism Diagnostic Observation schedule

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), is a structured, evidence-based assessment used to evaluate social communication and interaction.

  • Available as a stand-alone ADOS-2 assessment (without diagnostic determination)
  • Also integrated into comprehensive autism diagnostic or psychological evaluations, when clinically appropriate

The ADOS-2 is always interpreted within the broader context of the individual’s history, strengths, and needs.

Evaluations for IEPs, 504 Plans, and College Accommodations

We provide evaluations and documentation to support educational and postsecondary needs, including:

  • IEP and 504 Plan support in public and private schools
  • College and graduate school accommodation evaluations
  • Reevaluations and updated educational or postsecondary documentation

Evaluations are designed to meet documentation requirements while keeping the focus on understanding and meaningful support.

These evaluations may:

  • Identify gifted intellectual or academic strengths
  • Clarify uneven learning profiles or masked challenges
  • Support enrichment, accommodations, and appropriate educational planning

Our approach recognizes that strengths and challenges often coexist and both deserve thoughtful consideration.

Standardized Testing Accommodations Evaluations

We provide evaluations and documentation to support accommodations for high-stakes and standardized testing.

This includes documentation for:

  • SAT and ACT
  • GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and MCAT
  • Other postsecondary or professional examinations, as appropriate

Evaluations are designed to meet testing agency requirements while remaining individualized and clinically appropriate.

  • Identify strengths and emerging skills
  • Guide early intervention and educational planning

Evaluations are tailored to the child’s age and developmental questions being explored.
